Resident Evil: Damnition Announced (CGI Movie)
So we bring you something rather different, that’s video game related, but not at the same time.
As Resident Evil: Afterlife settles in the cinemas in 3D, Capcom have announced a sequel to the CGI film, which was Resident Evil: Degeneration. The sequel will be known as Resident Evil: Damnition. The CGI film is to be released in 2012, and there’s something else to: It will be in 3D, surprise surprise, in Japanese cinemas. It us unknown if the CGI film will be in US/UK theatres, most likely not, but Sony as actually backed Capcom with this decision, as they did with Degeneration.
Degeneration told the story of Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy, in an “alternate” universe (aka the video game storyline). The CGI film took place in 2005, one year after Resident Evil 4, where Claire and Leon had thought the worst was over, until a plane crashes into an airport, carrying dead passengers turning into zombies.
Leon is the only character comfirmed in the sequel.
To be honest with you, the CGI movie wasn’t actually that bad, when you think about it, so as the writer of the news, I, Charlie, look forward to seeing this.
